Sunday Labs: Speak Up! Use your body to say what’s on your mind
Date/Time - 24/09/2017 at 14:30 - 18:30

“There are two kinds of speakers: those that are nervous, and those that are liars.”
— Mark Twain
It’s a rare bird indeed who doesn’t feel some glimmer of fear when they have to talk in front of other people. Sweaty palms, wobbly legs, pounding heart, dry throat, mind racing or blank – the experience can be so unpleasant that we either make a mess of what we want to say or keep our mouths shut to avoid doing so. In September’s Sunday Labs, we’ll use the tools of expressive writing and conscious breathing to bring some levity, clarity, and fluidity to the act of expressing ourselves to others.
Narra Lab will ask you to poke into the dark corners of your discomfort and write about what you find there.
Breath Lab will get you moving, breathing, and using your voice so that you become freer in your body and better able to work with your fear rather than against it.
This workshop is for anyone who is uncomfortable speaking to others. If you’d like to be more at ease at your next business meeting, dinner party, classroom discussion, or audition, come and join us on the 24th.
Bookings are closed for this event.
