“To have another language is to possess a second soul.”
— Charlemagne
Expat, bilingual, dual heritage… Living with more than one culture — whether you come to it by choice, birth, or necessity – can change the architecture of your brain and the way you interact with the world. In this edition of Sunday Labs, we’ll explore how experiencing another culture, country, or language affects the way you think, perceive, and behave. In Narra Lab we’ll do short bursts of expressive writing to examine the joys and difficulties of living outside the mono-cultural box. In Breath Lab we’ll play with conscious breathing exercises for focusing inward and opening outward.
No writing experience is necessary.
If you want to
- identify the richness being an expat or bilingual brings to your life, as well as the discomfort it may cause
- navigate between cultures without feeling like you’re losing yourself (unless you want to!)
- find ways to feel more “at home” wherever you are
– then this Sunday Lab is for you!
Bookings are closed for this event.
