{"id":1225,"date":"2018-12-02T10:46:39","date_gmt":"2018-12-02T09:46:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elainekonopka.com\/?p=1225"},"modified":"2018-12-02T10:46:39","modified_gmt":"2018-12-02T09:46:39","slug":"flotter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elainekonopka.com\/fr\/flotter\/","title":{"rendered":"Flotter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Le 19 juillet 2018, une violente temp\u00eate s\u2019est abattue sur le lac de Table Rock \u00e0 Branson dans le Missouri, d\u00e9cha\u00eenant des vagues de pr\u00e8s de deux m\u00e8tres qui ont fait chavirer un bateau de touristes. Dix-sept personnes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 noy\u00e9es. Tia Coleman \u00e9tait \u00e0 bord, avec dix membres de sa famille. Elle en a perdu neuf, dont son mari, sa fille et deux fils. Son r\u00e9cit d\u00e9chirant vaut la peine d\u2019\u00eatre entendu :<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00ab\u00a0Quand l\u2019eau a envahi le bateau, je n\u2019y voyais plus rien. Je ne pouvais ni sentir les autres ni voir quoi que ce soit. La seule chose dont je me souvienne, \u201cje dois m\u2019en sortir, je dois m\u2019en sortir\u2026\u201d Et quand je me suis retrouv\u00e9e dans l\u2019eau, elle \u00e9tait froide comme de la glace\u2026 J\u2019ai tout de suite su que si elle \u00e9tait aussi froide, c\u2019est que j\u2019\u00e9tais au fond, bien loin de la surface. Tout ce dont je me souviens, c\u2019est d\u2019avoir donn\u00e9 des coups de pied pour nager vers le haut\u2026 En nageant, je priais, je disais : \u201cDieu, s\u2019il te pla\u00eet, laisse-moi retrouver mes enfants.\u201d Et je donnais des coups de pied. Et plus je me battais pour aller vers le haut, plus j\u2019allais vers le bas. Et je continuais \u00e0 me battre encore et encore. Et puis j\u2019ai dit, \u201cDieu, si je ne peux pas y arriver, ce n\u2019est pas la peine de me garder ici.\u201d Alors j\u2019ai laiss\u00e9 faire, et j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 flotter. Et quand j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 flotter, j\u2019ai senti la temp\u00e9rature changer et se r\u00e9chauffer et comme elle devenait plus chaude, j\u2019ai su que j\u2019arrivais \u00e0 la surface.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Mme Coleman dit qu\u2019elle doit sa vie \u00e0 Dieu et aux bons samaritains qui l\u2019ont sortie de l\u2019eau. C\u2019est possible. Ce que j\u2019en retire moi, c\u2019est qu\u2019elle est en vie parce qu\u2019elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 capable de l\u00e2cher prise.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Des coups d\u2019\u00e9p\u00e9e dans l\u2019eau <\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>L\u2019accident de Branson fut une trag\u00e9die ; mais il y a quelque chose dont on peut tirer la le\u00e7on dans l\u2019histoire de Tia Coleman, m\u00eame si notre vie n\u2019est pas litt\u00e9ralement en danger. Vous pouvez vous sentir submerg\u00e9, tir\u00e9 vers le bas, abattu, comme si tous les \u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00e9taient ligu\u00e9s contre vous. Le choc d\u2019une mauvaise nouvelle, le train-train du quotidien, une perte, la solitude, l\u2019impossibilit\u00e9 de prot\u00e9ger ceux qu\u2019on aime \u2013 ce genre de choses, sans menacer pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment votre vie, peut certainement <em>donner cette impression<\/em> et d\u00e9clencher votre r\u00e9ponse de survie. Et vous pouvez \u00eatre amen\u00e9 \u00e0 additionner des chiffres obssessivement pour la 10<sup>e<\/sup>, 20<sup> e<\/sup>, 50<sup> e<\/sup> fois , avec l\u2019espoir qu\u2019ils seront diff\u00e9rents cette fois-ci ; passer des coups de fil fr\u00e9n\u00e9tiques ou envoyer des messages les dents serr\u00e9es en retenant votre souffle ; rester allong\u00e9 les yeux ouverts, le c\u0153ur battant fort, ne perdant pas une seconde du film qui se joue dans votre t\u00eate, une horrible projection de ce qui pourrait arriver, ou une version affreuse de ce qui est. Vous pourriez \u00eatre amen\u00e9 \u00e0 vous d\u00e9mener comme un pauvre diable pour essayer de changer la situation ou tenter de la battre \u00e0 plates coutures, comme frapper une fourmi avec une masse. Vous pouvez tout aussi bien essayer de vous enfuir ou de dispara\u00eetre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Tout cela revient \u00e0 donner des coups d\u2019\u00e9p\u00e9e dans l\u2019eau.<\/p>\n<p>Et ce faisant, vous pouvez vous noyer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5><strong>Respecter l\u2019eau<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>N\u2019importe quel marin digne de ce nom vous le dira : la cl\u00e9 pour \u00e9viter la noyade, c\u2019est de flotter ou de faire du surplace et calmer sa respiration. Certains disent : \u201c<em>flip and float<\/em>\u201d (se renverser sur le dos et flotter). D\u2019autres disent : \u201cla t\u00eate en arri\u00e8re, le ventre en l\u2019air et appeler <em>au secours<\/em>\u201d). Les Japonais utilisent l\u2019expression \u00a0<em>uitematte<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 \u201cflotter et attendre\u201d \u2013 et entra\u00eenent leurs enfants \u00e0 agir ainsi. Voil\u00e0 de bons conseils pour les agit\u00e9s de toutes sortes : dans les moments de d\u00e9tresse, ne paniquez pas, mais au lieu de cela, flottez et respirez.<\/p>\n<p>Fred Lanoue, entra\u00eeneur de natation au Georgia Institute of Technology de 1936 \u00e0 1964, a enseign\u00e9 ce qu\u2019il appelle \u201c<em>Drownproofing<\/em>\u201d \u2013 flotter \u00e0 la verticale avec le visage sous l\u2019eau, relevant la t\u00eate seulement pour prendre une inspiration. \u201cEssayez d\u2019adopter l\u2019attitude du chaton port\u00e9 par un chat adulte\u201d, conseille un site web qui explique sa m\u00e9thode. \u201cContentez-vous de rester l\u00e0 et laissez l\u2019eau vous porter\u201d. Quel concept \u2013 accepter de se laisser porter par ce qui nous menace. Mais si vous acceptez que CE soit plus fort que Vous, il y a l\u00e0 une logique \u00e9trange, de celles qui d\u00e9fient votre instinct de vous d\u00e9battre ou de r\u00e9sister. C\u2019est s\u00fbrement ce qui se trouve derri\u00e8re le nom de la campagne de pr\u00e9vention contre la noyade du Royal National Lifeboat Institute : cela s\u2019appelle le Respect de l\u2019Eau.<\/p>\n<p>Flotter n\u2019est pas l\u2019universelle panac\u00e9e. On a parfois besoin d\u2019un vrai coup de pied, de volont\u00e9 et de motivation pour nous frayer un chemin \u00e0 travers la r\u00e9sistance. Cela dit, il y a parfois dans cette vie \u2013 et nombre de fois, en fait \u2013 des choses que nous ne pouvons contr\u00f4ler. Quand on a fait tout ce qui \u00e9tait en notre pouvoir, il est peut-\u00eatre temps de s\u2019ouvrir \u00e0 l\u2019adversaire. Non en tant que victime, non pour abandonner, mais simplement en reconnaissant nos limites.<\/p>\n<p>Pensez-y maintenant : si vous \u00e9voquez quelque chose de difficile dans votre vie, quelque chose que vous ne pouvez contr\u00f4ler, que se passe-t-il ? Que se passe-t-il dans votre corps ? Que se passe-t-il au niveau de votre respiration ? O\u00f9 r\u00e9sistez-vous ? O\u00f9 se situe le combat ? Et ensuite : pouvez-vous l\u00e2cher prise et flotter ? Rel\u00e2cher vos muscles et votre prise comme un chaton port\u00e9 par un chat ? Et si vous respectiez l\u2019eau \u2013 accepter ce qui est plus fort que vous \u2013 et si vous c\u00e9diez ? \u00c0 quoi cela ressemblerait-il dans votre situation ? Que ressentiriez-vous ?<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5><strong>Humilit\u00e9<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Quand je vivais avec mes parents, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que je quitte la maison \u00e0 17 ans, j\u2019allais parfois dans leur chambre (elle \u00e9tait \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la cuisine et ils ne fermaient jamais la porte) et tombais alors sur ma m\u00e8re, \u00e0 genoux \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du lit, qui priait. C\u2019\u00e9tait \u00e9tonnant de la trouver l\u00e0, sur le couvre-lit r\u00eache, ses doigts entrelac\u00e9s soutenant son front ou tenant un rosaire ou un petit missel avec des images de saints et des pri\u00e8res. Elle bougeait sa bouche en silence, les yeux dans le vague ou ferm\u00e9s. Si elle m\u2019entendait, elle n\u2019en donnait jamais signe ; elle \u00e9tait l\u00e0 sans \u00eatre l\u00e0, comme un hologramme, comme si elle avait disparu \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur d\u2019elle-m\u00eame. Je contemplais ce tableau intime pendant quelques secondes \u2013 \u00e0 la fois fascin\u00e9e et mal \u00e0 l\u2019aise \u2013 avant de quitter la chambre \u00e0 reculons.<\/p>\n<p>Je ne saurais dire ce qu\u2019elle disait exactement, mais je crois pouvoir le deviner. Elle avait sa part de malheurs. \u00c0 cette \u00e9poque, j\u2019imaginais une litanie de requ\u00eates, de demandes, de pr\u00e9occupations : ma m\u00e8re avait tendance \u00e0 s\u2019agiter. Mais aujourd\u2019hui, je la vois autrement \u2013 la t\u00eate pench\u00e9e dans la lumi\u00e8re jaunissante de la lampe de chevet, les genoux press\u00e9s sur la moquette or et marron \u2013 je la vois flotter. Malgr\u00e9 sa tendance \u00e0 se d\u00e9battre, elle avait l\u2019humilit\u00e9 qu\u2019exige le l\u00e2cher prise. Cela ne l\u2019a pas sauv\u00e9e \u00e0 la fin. Mais j\u2019aime \u00e0 penser que cela aura all\u00e9g\u00e9 son fardeau quotidien et que cette pratique du l\u00e2cher-prise lui aura permis de rire, de plaisanter et de faire ce qui doit \u00eatre fait.
