Strengthening the Feminine: A Workshop for Women
Part of our education as women leads us to take on certain roles that we fulfill unquestioningly. We want to be the perfect partner, mother, friend, career woman…or we put all our energy into going against these stereotypes.
These roles are present in the way we walk, move, think and speak. Over time, this can lead to physical conditions such as pain before or during menstruation, mood swings, menopausal symptoms and sexual difficulties. We consider them “normal” because “it happens to everybody,” instead of seeing them as signs that something isn’t working well in our bodies and/or our lives.
This workshop is for women of all ages. Through movement and body attention, we will identify and release restrictive patterns in our bodies and enhance strength and flexibility in the abdomen, lower back, hips and legs. Keeping this area healthy is essential for maintaining our wellbeing as women in every stage of life.
